Art Spin & Public Sweat are committed to ensuring the privacy of its participants, supporters and visitors. If you register for a contest or promotion, you will be required to acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with the Terms and Conditions and this Privacy Policy, as they may be amended from time to time, for as long as you continue to use our Sites. If you do not agree with the Terms and Conditions or this Privacy Policy, do not sign up for an account, purchase a ticket, subscribe to our emails, and/or use our sites.

Art Spin & Public Sweat complies with requirements set out in applicable privacy legislation with respect to the collection and use of personal information. We will regularly review our Privacy Policy and reserve the right to change it at any time, and therefore encourage you to review the Policy to understand the ways in which the information that you provide will be used.

Personal information is considered any information about, or relating to, an identifiable individual. It does not include commercial (business) contact information or other information that is publicly available.

Analytics / Cookies 

For visitors to Public Sweat and Art Spin websites, data is collected using Google Analytics, and to email subscribers through Mailchimp. Tickets are processed through the Ticket Tailor Platform, with payments processed through Stripe, and the Privacy Policies of all these services can be found below.

In addition to any information you directly provide us, we also use data tracking tools - like cookies - to help us see how you use our sites or interact with our content. This is usually something you can disable in your browser if you like, but it might make our sites not work as well for you.

Aggregate site use information:

We record information about the pages viewed by all of individuals who access our Sites. This data includes internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, connection speed, read time, display time, and number of clicks. We use this data, in aggregate form, to compile statistics and reports for Art Spin’s use, and to improve the online experience for all visitors. Cookies, web beacons, pixel tags:

A cookie is a small text file stored on a user’s hard drive. Cookies are required to make purchases on our Sites. We also use cookies to assist with site traffic analysis, which includes tracking the time/date of visits, pages viewed, and referring URLs. We, or our Partners, may use cookies to serve our remarketing campaigns so that third party vendors, which could include platforms like Google and Facebook, show our ads on sites across the Internet. Cached data:

When you use our Sites, some data is cached in the memory of your device. Cached data is encrypted and kept on the device if you are logged in, even if the Sites are put in the background. The data is deleted from the device when you sign out of the Sites and does not remain on the device.

Third-Party Websites

We may also link to a third party website that is not owned or managed by Art Spin & Public Sweat. When you click on a link that takes you to a third-party website, please be aware that this third-party website will have their own Privacy Policy and we do not control the business practices of these external websites, we are not responsible for for the actions of any third-party websites nor the way they collect, store, use and/or protect personal information.

Collecting Personal Information:

Art Spin & Public Sweat collects personal information to process transactions such as ticket sales, event registration and mailing list enrollment. This personal information allows us to better serve your needs and interests to serve our participants, facilitate a smooth transaction and share news of our events. We limit the information we collect to what is required to serve these purposes and will only use it for those purposes unless we have consent to do otherwise. By purchasing a ticket, registering for an event, or enrolling in our email newsletter you consent to our sharing your contact information with our event, partners or other third-parties associated with the events or services you have purchased, registered for, enrolled in or entered. This is done to ensure the successful delivery of the services requested, however we take all the measures we can to ensure that these partners are using your information in accordance with applicable laws.

We may use your personal information to contact you electronically or by phone for the following purposes:

  • To reach you regarding ticket or event changes

  • To provide information about programs, events, tickets and funding needs

  • To communicate opportunities to volunteer

  • To thank supporters & participants

  • To personalize promotional offers

  • To sell tickets, passes or program registrations

Disclosure of Information by Art Spin

Art Spin will only disclose Personal Information for purposes identified in this Privacy Policy or for purposes that we expressly identify to you at the time we seek to collect your personal information. Otherwise, we do not sell, rent, or disclose your Personal Information to any third party without your consent unless disclosure without your consent is required or authorized by law.

Trusted third parties: when the services we are providing to you require us to provide your information to a third party who performs functions on our behalf. Your information will be treated with the same level of privacy and security as we are committed to providing as an organization and will not be used for other purposes than that which we authorize.

Disclosure of Information by You

You may disclose information when you post content to our websites or other public forums, such as our social media pages and blogs. Any information that you disclose through these services will become publicly available.

Social sharing: when you use certain aspects of Art Spin’s website or other services, or you post information to other social networking sites (e.g. posting a link to Art Spin’s Facebook or Instagram pages, or “liking” a product on your Facebook or Instagram account, or “pinning” a product on your Pinterest account), the Personal Information that you post or share in connection with these third party sites is visible to other persons and can be read, collected, used and disclosed by other persons. To prevent unauthorized access and use, Art Spin & Public Sweat has administrative limitations on who has access and how information is stored and accessed. Access is restricted to authorized personnel who require the information to perform their duties, and is limited to only the information that is necessary for the performance of those duties.

At any time you may choose to opt-out of our e-newsletter subscription services by following the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of an email. This will update your preferences in our software and remove you from future email communications.
